SME-A is the peak industry association for engineers in Australia and New Zealand working in the mobility engineering sector.
From sharing technical knowledge, networking, rewarding and encouraging innovation in both the private and public sector, SME-A seeks to involve our members in all aspects of the mobility engineering sector.
Our individual, company, and academic members include degree-qualified engineers, technical specialists, academics, students, industry and government.
Members come from a range of industry sectors including electric, autonomous and combustion engine technology, aerospace and defence, heavy commercial vehicles (on-and-off road), rail and rolling stock, ship building/marine, micromobility, and specialty vehicles.

Fellow
(F SME-A)
For experienced individuals who have led significant engineering developments, held positions of responsibility, and established extensive careers in engineering. Applications will be reviewed by the SME-A Qualifications and Grading Committee

For engineers in the industry, who have a minimum of 5 years experience and hold an engineering, science or technology degree or advanced diploma.
