FISITA Summit Tackles Mobility’s Growing Complexities

FISITA will bring global automotive and mobility leaders together in South Korea in November for its 2026 World Mobility Summit, focusing on the growing complexities facing the industry.
The FISITA World Mobility Summit will be held at the Rolling Hills Hotel in Seoul on November 4–5 under the theme, “Embracing the Complexities of Mobility.”
Held every two years, the Summit is designed as an exclusive forum for senior executives, industry decision-makers, innovators and thought leaders to discuss the technologies, trends and challenges shaping the future of mobility.
This year’s event will be hosted by FISITA President ChangHwan Kim, executive vice president at Hyundai Motor Group, who will share his perspectives on the trends, technologies and innovations driving change across the global mobility sector.
The Summit comes as the automotive industry manages a period of significant technological transformation, encompassing electrification, energy solutions and increasingly complex mobility technologies.
FISITA says attendance will be limited to create a focused environment that encourages collaboration, networking and relationship building between senior figures from across the international automotive and mobility industries.
FISITA member organisations will receive two complimentary passes for senior leaders, while a limited number of invitations will also be available to selected non-member organisations and industry leaders.
The organisation has also revealed a high-level line-up of featured speakers for the two-day event. Along with Kim, speakers include Manfred Harrer, president and head of R&D Division at Hyundai Motor Group, and Christian Mecker, president and representative director and president of BoschMobility South & East Asia at Bosch Japan.
They will be joined by Xiaoyu Zhang, chief technology officer at Changan Automobile Company, and Sun Kyoung Jeoung, president of the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers. Elizabeth Krear, president and CEO of the Centre for Automotive Research, will also be among the featured speakers.
Through its invitation-based format, the Summit is intended to provide senior industry figures with an opportunity to look beyond individual technologies and consider the broader forces reshaping global mobility.
With automotive manufacturers, technology companies, engineering organisations and research leaders represented, the 2026 event will put industry collaboration at the centre of discussions about how the sector responds to an increasingly complex mobility landscape.
